Valentino marble, supplied by GMP Marmi e Graniti, is an elegant natural material of metamorphic origin, belonging to the marble category. Its color base ranges from deep gray to lighter gray tones, enriched by lighter veins that give each slab a unique character. These veins are the result of the recrystallization of the original minerals, making every block a one-of-a-kind piece. Valentino is available in slabs and is suitable for a variety of surface finishes such as polished, brushed, or honed, depending on aesthetic and functional requirements. The marble is highly workable: it can be cut, shaped, and polished with ease, allowing for high-quality finishes up to a mirror-like shine. Its surface can be restored multiple times through honing and polishing, maintaining its original elegance over time.

From a technical perspective, Valentino marble shares the typical characteristics of natural marbles. Its main composition consists of calcite or dolomite, with natural impurities that determine its color and veining. The density generally ranges between 2600 and 2800 kg/m³, with water absorption between 0.2% and 1.5%, depending on porosity. Hardness on the Mohs scale is between 3 and 4, making it more prone to scratching compared to stones like granite, while compressive strength is good, though lower than that of granite. Valentino marble can also be used outdoors, although its resistance to freeze-thaw cycles should be carefully evaluated. The main applications of Valentino marble include interior cladding, flooring, walls, kitchen and bathroom countertops (with proper protection), stairs, windowsills, fireplaces, and custom architectural elements. As with all natural marbles, it is a porous and delicate material, so it is recommended to use water- and oil-repellent sealers on horizontal surfaces and neutral cleaners for maintenance, avoiding acidic or abrasive products.

Using Valentino marble ensures a timeless aesthetic: the natural veining creates a dynamic and refined visual effect, suitable for both classic and contemporary settings. Since each slab is unique, it is advisable to select similar blocks when covering large surfaces to maintain visual uniformity. Valentino marble therefore represents an elegant, versatile, and durable choice, capable of enhancing any architectural or interior design project.
